Console¶
The developer console works like in the stock game, with a few additions.
- Commands are remembered between sessions, in
Documents\My Games\ringworld\console_history.txt. The last 16 commands are kept. clearclears the console, likecls.- Text fades out at the same speed at any frame rate.
- TAB completion also completes commands added by Balltze and its plugins, and
helpshows their description.
Enabling the console¶
The stock game only opens the console when started with -console. Ringworld turns it on by
default instead, so no launch argument is needed, and a command turns it off. The key that opens
it can be changed too.
These commands are provided by Balltze and are saved in
Documents\My Games\ringworld\balltze\config\settings.json. Typing one without arguments prints
its current value.
